The ‘Angel Of Our Dreams’

 I think it’s always really interesting to see what solo music former group members release. It gives us a look into their own personal style and what they want to say for themselves. Sometimes it doesn’t work out but for Jade it seems this is just the beginning of an amazing solo career. She was always my favourite member of Little Mix and now smashing it solo. Jade Thirlwall is the angel of our dreams. She has yet to release her solo album but she’s dropped some singles which are giving us a little taste of what she’ll be serving up on ‘That’s showbiz, baby!’


Jade’s first solo single was released back in July 2024 titled ‘Angel of my dreams’ and if you were expecting a safe, radio-friendly bop, think again—this track is a wild ride from start to finish. Lyrically, Jade isn’t holding back. Lines like “Sellin’ my soul to a psycho / they say I’m so lucky” seem to throw some serious shade at her past experiences in the industry, particularly her time under Syco Music. It’s a mix of vulnerability and attitude, making it clear that she’s stepping into her own power. It’s not just a debut single—it’s a statement. Jade Thirlwall is here, she’s doing pop her way, and she’s not playing it safe.
Following that release she has gone on to release a further four singles which I absolutely love. FUFN (F**k you for now), Fantasy, IT girl and my personal favourite Midnight Cowboy all of which give us a taste of what’s to come from her album.


She has also announced her first tour, happening this October. Of course I had to get myself a ticket. I am so excited to see her live. I saw her with Little Mix four times but it definitely will be a completely different experience seeing her solo.

I’m now thirty years old and of course with that a lot of people around me are getting pregnant and having children but that’s genuinely not something I desire. Book your smears!

 It’s uncomfortable, it’s a little embarrassing and no one enjoys having them done but it could save your life.  I’m in my 30s now and have had around 4/5 smear tests, they never get any easier but having them has raised an issue which we can keep an eye on and could possibly save my life and prevent me from developing cervical cancer.  My first smear was perfectly normal and wasn’t anything to worry about however my following smear showed I had HPV which is one of the biggest reasons behind many developing cancer. I now have yearly appointments with gynaecology to keep an eye on whats going on and to make sure that there’s no progression or cancerous cells. Having HPV doesn’t mean you will definitely develop cancer or cancerous cells, however it increases the risk.
