Bikes, Canals, and Charm: Amsterdam Through My Eyes

Image
Crisscrossed by charming canals, filled with the aroma of fresh stroopwafels, and humming with the sound of bicycle bells, Amsterdam is a city that effortlessly blends old world beauty with modern vibrance. Whether you're drawn in by its rich artistic heritage, quirky neighbourhoods or the sheer joy of getting lost among narrow lanes lined with crooked townhouses, this Dutch capital offers an adventure for every kind of traveler.   I absolutely love Amsterdam, it will always have my heart. Whether it’s a chilled weekend away, a romantic trip, a family vacation or a crazy party weekend it has it all.  I would say that I am not a good traveler so the fact that I can hop on a plane and be in the city within an hour from where I live is definitely something which appeals to me. I think when you mention the city the first thing that springs to peoples minds is ‘weed’ when in actual fact this place is a lot more than that. Of course there’s numerous cafe’s where you can legal...

28 Years Later – The Rage Lives On 🧟‍♂️

Image
WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD 28 Years Later  leans into the chaos full-force, and it doesn’t hold your hand. The world is even more shattered than it was in  28 Weeks Later , and the tension coils like a spring from the very first shot. It feels raw and eerily real, almost like a documentary from hell—with jump scares. The cinematography is once again gorgeously bleak. The rage virus has evolved. Of course it has. We’ve had nearly three decades for humanity to try (and fail) at containment, and the virus has been taking notes. There are twists to the infection that feel both scientifically terrifying and morally grey. The film doesn’t just explore survival—it pokes at our humanity, our institutions, and what “normal” looks like after everything’s burned down. We welcome massive stars like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes to the 28 franchise, all three give absolutely everything to their roles, I mean would we expect anything less from them? No. We also we...

Final Destination: Bloodlines

Image
(Warning: possible SPOILERS ahead) It’s back and making us terrified of every day things again. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Final Destination series so I was incredibly excited to hear they’d be making a new one and this Friday just gone I finally managed to see it. So here’s my thoughts.. Final Destination has always had a way of making us scared of every day things, a log truck, rollercoaster, sunbed, massage parlours, going to the cinema and even gymnastics and it definitely carries that legacy on into the new one. The kills in this one are just as crazy as the rest.. I mean having your face torn to shreds by a lawnmower isn’t something you think about when you decide to sort your garden out is it? Or being squished to death by a rubbish truck, also not something we often think about.  Whilst I enjoyed the premise of the movie and the kills, I personally don’t think it was executed particularly well. It felt a little underwhelming in some parts but in others it had...
